According to Akhtar, H.(2017), Effective communication is crucial for leaders to achieve goals and foster harmony among subordinates. A qualitative analysis of Islamic communication practices, forms, and ethical and moral concepts was conducted.


Effective Communication Strategies for Leaders


Clear and Concise Communication: Leaders should speak clearly, eliminate jargon, and rationally organize content for understanding.Autocratic managers hold significant power and provide little autonomy to their staff, often using policies and procedures as a means of communication. This one-way and downward communication is common. Conversely, Laissez-faire managers hold minimal power and provide extensive autonomy, often communicating in a noncommittal and surface-level manner.(Nowicki, M. and Summers, J., 2008.)


• Active Listening: Leaders should listen intently, demonstrating compassion and understanding to foster a supportive atmosphere and trust.Active listening in leaders is facilitated by attributes like agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to new experiences, while extroversion and neuroticism may hinder it. Our work impacts theory and practice. (Kumar, R. and Jha, V., 2017)


Nonverbal Communication: Leaders should project honesty and authenticity through body language, tone of voice, and facial expressions.The recognition of leadership hierarchy determines the importance of verbal and nonverbal cues in identifying leaders. The results also apply to choosing leaders. Instead of focusing on leaders' outward behaviors, it is suggested to examine why a group member emerges to assume leadership roles from the perspective of group members choosing or allowing emergence. (Stein, R.T., 1975.)

Team Development Communication Strategies

Feedback Mechanisms: Regular, honest, and helpful communication to encourage team development. Recognizing accomplishments and addressing growth areas.The reasons behind leaders making minor adjustments after receiving multi source feedback (MSF), highlighting four possible explanations: theoretical justifications, implementation flaws, psychometric properties, and study design limitations. It suggests that MSF can aid in numerous leader development if properly planned and executed. (Hezlett, S.A., 2008)

FlexibilityFlexibility is crucial for leaders to ensure their firm provides the products and services their clients desire, leading to a stronger reputation and more loyal customers. In today's fast-paced commercial environment, leaders who adopt a flexible mentality can stay ahead of the curve, stimulate innovation, and create resilient companies that can thrive in a rapidly changing world.(Sachin K. 2023)

Clear Expectations: Clearly define roles, duties, and expectations to minimize misunderstandings and disputes.This explores the communication styles of four virtual team leaders, revealing distinct leadership attributes and expectations among team members, highlighting the unique challenges faced by virtual leaders. (Sivunen, A., 2008.)

Leadership Skills Overview

Emotional intelligence and empathyEmotional intelligence and empathy are crucial leadership traits that inspire, build connections, and promote cooperation. They create a positive environment where people feel valued and inspired to reach their full potential. Aspiring leaders should continuously improve their emotional intelligence and empathy to drive positive change within their businesses.(Todd R. 2023)

Conflict resolution skills: Facilitates amicable conflict resolution and encourages fruitful communication for win-win solutions.Servant leaders employ empathetic, persuasive, and participatory dispute resolution techniques, utilizing early situational assessment, intervention, and objectivity. They possess traits like self-control, patience, calmness, and humility, and identify tactics for handling disruptive employee conduct. (Jit, R., Sharma, C.S. and Kawatra, M., 2016).

Conclusion.

Effective leadership communication strategies involve clear messaging, active listening, praise, feedback, flexibility, honesty, transparency, nonverbal cue awareness, empowerment, technology use, conflict resolution, and dedication to continuous improvement. These tactics foster a collaborative environment, inspire action, foster trust, and accelerate achievement within teams and organizations.
